This porter is created using our house altbier yeast for a soft chocolate flavor accentuated by a faint ester reminiscent of raspberries. It’s dark in color and smooth on the palate. Prost!

Basalt is named for the abundant extrusive igneous rock of the same name that makes up much of the oceanic crust. It is dark and fine grained, and it sort of sounds like Bath Salts, so if you make that joke, you aren't the first. Hah!
